Coverage of the American election can get a bit stale, however much of a junkie you are. There’s only so much you can read about polling figures, voter turnout, preachers, terrorists, and the view from Alaska before you need something a little less… engagé. Step forward, please, the people behind www.yeswecarve.com , a website which asks Democrats to go that extra mile and carve Obama’s face, name, or logo into their Hallowe’en pumpkins. Their sole aim may be to brighten my day. My faith in the democratic process is restored, thanks to what they’re calling – wait for it – Barack O’Lanterns. Thank you, America.
